CiminoCare Consulting’s Scott Eckstein recently attended and presented at the 2025 LeadingAge Annual Meeting and Global Ageing Network Biennial Conference in Boston, Massachusetts. The community shared ideas, best practices, stories, and solutions that will continue to inspire innovation and strengthen aging services across the globe.
Scott participated as an expert in the session on Fostering Lifelong Engagement in Age-Inclusive Urban Communities. Scott shares some valuable insights about current trends and takeaways from the conference:
- The top themes of the conference included the increased use of artificial intelligence in senior care, with most organizations still developing broad AI competency with solutions like Microsoft Copilot leading adoption, amongst others. There was strong and renewed focus on data interoperability for improving care outcomes.
- Resident-centered innovation was another highlight, with providers piloting new tech in collaboration with residents to ensure practical impacts and higher engagement. The digital transformation in senior living is accelerating, though the successful implementation hinges on quality data and strong partnerships…and some risk-taking!
- There was also a strong focus on wellness, wellbeing, and branding, another area many operators are focused on due to the generational shifts we are all contending with.
Scott is a key member of the CiminoCare acquisition and development team focused on strategic planning, market feasibility, proformas, and project management with more than 30 years’ experience in senior living, healthcare, and best practices. Personal passion, directly related to his own grandparents, inspires him to make a difference by bettering the lives of seniors. He is a long-time advocate of specially-designed communities, which includes the use of technology, where those in the mature markets and especially the frail elderly can live in stimulating, comfortable, engaged lives in safe environments while maintaining their dignity and continue to live a life with purpose…be it in their own home while they can or at a purpose-built senior community.
